The king has declared war on England and is invading his country. They are trying to get across the Mediterranean Sea, when a storm traps them, and they have to survive for a long period of time.Lenny and his father live in an island, until the king sends his son to be found by a ship carrying his wife and children. However, the ship is attacked by a giant squid. Lenny manages to escape and he takes on the role of being the lone survivor.The main character is left in the care of another boy who goes by the name of Big Nose. Lenny is only fifteen when the story begins. He has survived all kinds of challenges, but now he has the chance to go off to college.During the essay, the student chooses to be one of the main characters in their own story. The student takes on the role of someone that would have experienced what the main character did. The essay ends with the main character deciding to take his own life.The student can either choose to write the essay using their own thoughts or to edit the work of others. Either way, they must write a summary of the entire essay. The student is also responsible for providing a title for the story.There are many other types of essays that students can choose to write.
